Most of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC); however, the candidate should also expect work in industrial piping, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection.

Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects.

Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.

Creating design drawings utilizing Revit 3D design software.

Assessing and designing building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality.

Utilizing building modeling software to determine envelope heat gains/losses for HVAC equipment sizing.

Specifying mechanical equipmentDesigning plumbing and building utility piping systemsSummarizing engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.

Visiting job sites as required for projects involving upfit of existing systems. A mix of day trips and overnight domestic trips should be expected.

Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the Ramboll's Project Execution Manual.

Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Ramboll's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or greater.

Licensed Professional Engineer10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systemsExperience designing large scale hydronic systemsWorking knowledge of fire protection requirements for industrial facilities, including the
IFC, NFPA
standards and FM Global guidelines.

Desire to work in chemical, power, and industrial market segment.

Desire and ability to work at industrial facilities gathering data for designs (expect
