Senior Electrical Engineer - Healthcare Direct Hire | Full-Time | Permanent | Onsite Location Cincinnati, Ohio Position Overview A dynamic engineering consulting firm is in search of a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Healthcare division in Cincinnati, OH. This role will involve leading the electrical design efforts for healthcare facility projects, providing technical expertise, project leadership, and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate should possess a wealth of experience in designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities, a solid grasp of relevant healthcare codes and standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders. Additionally, this position will support business development efforts through proposal development and engaging with clients. Key Responsibilities Design and support power distribution systems for healthcare and commercial building projects. Create designs for various electrical systems including emergency power, generators, UPS, ground fault protection, and lightning protection systems. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents. Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, and arc flash analyses. Coordinate design activities with other teams involved in the project. Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards, and project requirements. Build and sustain strong client relationships throughout project execution. Participate in proposal and business development activities. Collaborate with colleagues to successfully deliver projects. Provide technical leadership and mentorship as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or the ability to obtain one. 10+ years of electrical engineering experience. Experience in designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities. Knowledge of healthcare design standards such as FGI Guidelines and NFPA 99. Experience with building power distribution and lighting systems. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software. Comprehensive understanding of construction practices. Familiarity with industry codes and standards like NEC, NFPA, NESC, and others. Previous supervisory experience. Strong project leadership and client relationship skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Preferred Additional experience in healthcare facility design. Experience with healthcare infrastructure projects. PE registration in multiple states. Travel Potential requirement for up to 25% domestic travel. Working Conditions Some assignments may involve visits to active construction sites. Occasional lifting or movement of field-testing equipment may be required. Work environments may include uneven terrain typical of construction projects.
