The ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge of Electrical transmission design in the Consulting Engineering environment. Position Responsibilities Complete project scope of work per discipline, project and client management, under direction of a Project Manager. Design and develop high-voltage transmission lines and related infrastructure Conduct load flow and stability studies to ensure system reliability Perform site inspections and feasibility studies for new transmission projects Collaborate with utility companies and other stakeholders to plan and execute projects Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Integrate renewable energy sources into existing transmission networks Develop and implement maintenance and upgrade plans for aging infrastructure Monitor and troubleshoot transmission system performance Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers Utilize advanced software tools for simulation and modeling Edit specifications to reflect the project requirements. Familiar with utility specific details, components and drawing production Job Requirements/ Qualifications 10+ Years of experience in Electrical Power Transmission Design in Consulting Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with SCADA systems. Knowledge of renewable energy integration. Knowledge of safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, AXCE, IEEE).Familiarity with GIS mapping and data analysis. Experience in utility-scale projects. Experience analyzing tower structures (pole, lattice, guyed) Working knowledge of design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, Easypower, Microstation, PSS/E , PSCAD. Understanding of regulatory compliance and permitting processes. Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues. Coordinate with technical leads and senior engineers when specialized assistance is needed on design. Ability to work and manage tasks on several projects concurrently. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Preferred.
