Outage Planner Aerotek - 3.7 Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $110,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Interpersonal skills Primavera High school diploma or GED Electrical systems Engineering Technology Single-line diagram Computer skills Construction management Associate's degree Project scheduling Full Job Description The Outage Planner will facilitate functional outage planning reservations applicable to transmission substation and transmission line project components with transmission planning, project management, transmission operations and transmission field services. Determine the feasibility of specific outage plans/reservations with other transmission projects. Optimize the outage planning and RTO reservations with other projects that may be impacted by proposed future outage reservations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Engage and work directly with Transmission Planning and Transmission Operations personnel to develop facility outage reservations to enhance future project schedules. Facilitate resolution of outage reservation coordination conflicts and identify and implement alternative solutions. Utilize existing tools and processes to communicate with various transmission groups proposed outage plans and reservations Manage multiple outage planning reservation scenarios simultaneously. Assist in securing future outage reservations for upcoming projects. Assist in prioritizing outage reservations to optimize the benefit both in reliability and earnings. Coordinate and collaborate with Transmission Operations in the evaluation of system conditions before submitting an outage reservation. Actively review abnormal system conditions to aide in planning and coordinating outage reservations for upcoming projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business or related field and five (5) years' related experience; OR, Associate's degree in degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business or related field and seven (7) years' related experience; OR, High school diploma or GED equivalent and 10 years' related experience. Related experience is defined as involvement with transmission engineering, transmission dispatching, distribution dispatching, or construction management. A thorough knowledge of the transmission system, from a design and operation perspective; and experience within transmission engineering, transmission or distribution dispatching and/or construction management is desired to fulfill responsibilities of this job. Requisite Abilities and Skills Primavera scheduling knowledge. Must be a team player, inquisitive, analytical and be able to interact with and maintain working relationships with diverse teams. Ability to read and interpret one line station diagrams and transmission line switching diagrams. Aptitude to understand switching and tagging and clearance points. Capacity to lead in understanding, developing and transmitting complex outage reservation communications to transmission planning, transmission operations, etc. Must have strong computer skills and apply skills to provide business specific report. Strong analytical skills are necessary to evaluate report data with existing outage plans to make future outage reservation proposals. Demonstrates knowledge of zones of protection. Displays knowledge of the T&D electrical system as well as the associated application/systems; including the safe operation of both systems. Has a clear understanding of minimum approach distances.
Pay:
