Job Description

Hello, This is a direct-hire opportunity with one of our long-standing utility industry clients. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in design, protective relaying, power system protection, relay coordination, substation design, or transmission and distribution engineering. Key Responsibilities:
Develop designs, and support substation relaying and metering designs Perform relay settings calculations, fault analysis, and coordination studies Review relay settings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities Analyze system events and outages and recommend corrective actions Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate with operations, engineering, and field teams on protection and control projects
Preferred Background:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline Bachelor's degree must be ABET Accredited Experience with protective relays, relay coordination, and power system protection Familiarity with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, or similar relay platforms Knowledge of transmission and distribution systems, SCADA, and NERC compliance is a plus PE license or ability to obtain one is preferred
