One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a talented Automation Engineer with hands-on Ignition/SCADA programming expertise to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy Ignition/SCADA applications for industrial automation systems Program and configure
HMI/SCADA
screens, tags, and historian data using Inductive Automation's Ignition platform Develop Python scripting and SQL database integrations within Ignition projects Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver custom automation solutions Perform PLC programming, integration, and troubleshooting across various platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Conduct system testing, commissioning, and startup support at client facilities Maintain documentation including network architecture, I/O lists, and functional design specifications
Requirements:
Proven experience with Inductive Automation Ignition/SCADA platform (Ignition certification preferred) Proficiency in PLC programming languages including Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP Experience with Python scripting and SQL database management Familiarity with networking concepts including VLANs, firewalls, and industrial network architecture Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and on-site at client locations Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred
