Power Systems Engineer - Renewable Energy & Transmission Shape the Future of Clean Energy Join a forward-thinking Engineering & Construction (E&C) team driving the development of renewable energy and transmission projects across the U.S. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of power systems analysis, grid integration, and cutting-edge modeling—helping bring large-scale renewable projects online safely, reliably, and efficiently. What You'll Do As a Power Systems Engineer, you'll take ownership of critical analyses and modeling that support the successful integration of renewable and transmission projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and validate PSS®E and PSCAD models for generation and transmission systems Perform and review power system studies , including: Steady-state and dynamic analysis Short circuit and grid reliability studies Conduct advanced transmission design studies such as: Line energization and switching overvoltage Shunt reactor sizing Auto-reclosing analysis Partner with ISOs, utilities, and regulatory agencies to navigate interconnection processes Ensure compliance with regional modeling and grid requirements Provide technical expertise to support project development and operational readiness Identify and implement innovative tools, methodologies, and engineering solutions Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate findings through presentations and stakeholder engagement
What You Bring Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Experience with power system analysis tools such as: PSS®E, PSCAD, ASPEN, TSAT, or GE PSLF Strong understanding of core electrical concepts: Power flow, stability, voltage regulation, reactive power support Knowledge of U.S. interconnection processes and grid requirements Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
