Full-time, ExemptAbout the OpportunityAs a Product Sales Engineer, you will blend your technical expertise with relationship-building skills to drive growth, educate the market, and influence the future of our business. If you are a collaborative self-starter with an electrical utility background, this critical role offers the freedom to set your own schedule and make an immediate impact.
Core ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:
Conduct specification reviews, failure analysis, and competitive total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
Industry Engagement:
Join and lead industry committees, present at conventions, and promote ductile iron advantages over alternative materials.
Collaboration and Training:
Answer technical questions, write white papers, and develop product training programs alongside the sales and marketing teams.
Product Quality:
Lead product testing initiatives and collaborate with engineering on real-world use cases.
Key Milestones for SuccessFirst 3
Months:
Master core product offerings, shadow customer meetings, and build rapport with internal sales and engineering teams.
By 6
Months:
Independently manage technical discovery and demo calls, playing a critical role in winning key deals.
By 12
Months:
Drive revenue targets through technical engagement, present at industry expos, and establish yourself as a trusted external expert.
QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the power utility industry.
Hands-on experience with loading and modeling software (e.g., PLS Software, Pole Foreman).Proven experience in product quality and testing.
Comfortable presenting to large groups and traveling as required.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) license.10+ years of industry experience.
Deep understanding of alternative pole materials and competitive market dynamics.
