This position will support federal project work for clients that require U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred location:
Any CDM Smith office (hybrid schedule) As a Senior Engineer (Power Systems Analysis), you will: Be responsible for the supervision, guidance, and review of power system analysis tasks and projects conducted by the members of CDM Smith's electrical practice. Serve as CDM Smith's power system analysis technical expert in highly technical electrical matters. In this capacity, you will assist CDM Smith's electrical practice in matters related to design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Work in the capacity of a liaison with individuals and units within and outside of CDM Smith with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters about electrical design and power system analysis. Work independently as the electrical lead or as project manager on multiple tasks and projects. Provide support to business development activities of a highly technical electrical nature. Operate in the capacity of a technical and professional leader and as a mentor for lower-level employees. #

Regular Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 12 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, and transit facilities. -Familiar with industry and federal codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, etc.) -Published in IEEE Journals or Transactions, or other technical journals is a plus. Proficiency in power system planning. Applied expertise in distributed generation, alternative energy, and microgrid systems. Proficiency with designing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for medium voltage distribution systems including substations, switchgear, and standby generation systems.
