What You Will Do:
GFT Infrastructure Inc. is seeking a Transmission Line Drafter to join our Power Business Group in our Monroeville, PA office! This role follows a hybrid-remote work format. What you'll be challenged to do: As a Transmission Line Drafter, you will support electric utility and power transmission projects by preparing detailed engineering drawings and construction documents for overhead transmission line projects. You will work directly with experienced engineers and designers. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Provide drafting support to transmission line engineers and senior drafters Prepare and/Develop construction drawing packages Develop plan and profile drawings utilizing data and exports fromPLS-CADD
software Develop structure detail, reinforcement, and assembly drawings Develop structure loading drawings using engineer-provided loading calculations and standard structure details Prepare permitting exhibits for highway, railroad, and waterway crossings Learn and implement client-specific drafting standards and quality requirements Review drawings and provide technical feedback to junior drafters. Support project teams in delivering high-quality design documents on schedule Education |Experience:
What you will bring to our firm: Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, CADD Technology, or related field. 4-8 years of drafting experience, preferably supporting utility, power, civil, structural, or related engineering projects. Experience developing general arrangement drawings, structure details, reinforcement drawings, and assemblies. Proficient in AutoCAD. Working knowledge of MicroStation.What we prefer you bring:
Advanced MicroStation experience. Experience withPLS-CADD
software. Experience developing transmission line plan and profile drawings and loading drawings. Knowledge of standard transmission line structures, assemblies, and construction practices. Knowledge of standard transmission line structures, assemblies, and construction practices.Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.Featured Benefits:
