Job Summary A global engineering and design organization is hiring a Transmission Line Design Engineer to support the planning, design, and review of high-voltage transmission line projects. This role involves technical leadership, coordination with clients, and oversight of design quality for transmission systems while mentoring less experienced team members. Responsibilities Design transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 765kV Mentor and train junior and mid-level design team members Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements Prepare technical reports and studies that clearly present engineering information and meet client and organizational format standards Perform independent reviews of calculations, drawings, and transmission line models developed by others, including models created in

Develop scopes of work, conceptual designs, and design bases for transmission projects Select appropriate equipment and materials and prepare supporting calculations and specifications Work directly with clients to support transmission line projects from 69kV through 500kV Adhere to established internal systems, processes, and quality standards Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program 12 or more years of transmission line design experience Proficiency with

PLS-CADD

software Experience reviewing transmission design drawings and technical deliverables Strong knowledge of applicable engineering standards, including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Construction experience Familiarity with ArcGIS Additional Information This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in the office.
