Locomotion Automatic Transmissions in Arlington is actively hiring a skilled Automatic Transmission Builder Technician experienced in disassembling inspecting diagnosing and assembling automatic transmissions with a strong focus on precision and quality. This role includes completely disassembling automatic transmissions and inspecting internal components such as clutches seals torque converters valves and gears, measuring and evaluating component wear and identifying parts that require replacement, adjusting and calibrating rebuilt transmissions to meet factory specifications, repairing internal components including valve bodies solenoids and clutches, machining and adjusting internal parts when necessary rather than only replacing them, using measurement and diagnostic tools including calipers torque wrenches hydraulic presses and automotive scanning software, performing bench testing or in vehicle testing to verify transmission performance before installation, working from technical diagrams and service manuals from different manufacturers, and organizing and documenting the rebuilding process. Located in Arlington TX at 4209 Barnett Blvd with easy access via major Dallas Fort Worth roadways, enjoy quick commutes from surrounding communities including Grand Prairie Fort Worth Mansfield and the greater DFW metroplex.
