Job Description

Position OverviewThe individual in this role may be required to carry out a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Manage projects to achieve defined quality standards, timelines, and financial targetsOversee multiple project teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of concurrent assignmentsAllocate projects to engineering staff based on technical needs, scheduling priorities, and team capacityCollaborate with engineering leads to align design activities with construction and procurement functionsVerify that teams follow project-specific standards and that technical work is progressing effectivelyCoordinate activities and maintain communication with clients, internal teams, leadership, and other stakeholdersDevelop, monitor, and update project schedules and budgets to keep initiatives on trackUtilize engineering software tools to perform analyses such as grounding system design, relay coordination, transformer selection, and fault/load studiesContribute directly to engineering design and project execution when needed to meet deadlinesEnsure adherence to applicable engineering codes and standards (such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI)Maintain accurate documentation using the designated document control systemPromote accountability and ownership within project teamsTravel periodically for project-related needs, as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedMaintain and update job safety analysis documentationMinimum Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institutionProfessional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain licensure in the applicable state within one year if not already heldMinimum of 15 years of relevant industry experienceDemonstrated expertise in electrical substation design and engineering, along with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
