Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team in the Energy & Utilities sector. In this mission-driven, collaborative role, you will lead the design of high-voltage transmission lines, oversee calculations, drawings, and specifications, and ensure compliance with NESC and utility standards. You'll mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and support proposals for complex projects that protect critical infrastructure and deliver real-world impact. Responsibilities Lead design of high-voltage transmission lines for Energy & Utilities projects Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications per NESC and utility standards Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and permitting agencies Review designs of junior engineers and provide technical mentorship Support proposals, estimates, and schedules for transmission projects Ensure quality, safety, and compliance on all project deliverables Required Skills Transmission line engineering Power system design PLS-CADD or similar line design software Structure and foundation design
