Windsor Door is looking for a Product Engineer to help design, test, and improve our commercial garage door systems and components. In this role, you'll work with a collaborative team of engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, sales, and customer service professionals to develop high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. What You'll Do Design and develop new garage door systems and mechanical components using CAD software. Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and cross-functional engineering projects. Analyze product designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. Perform stress, fatigue, vibration, dimensional, and tolerance analyses on new and existing products. Research, benchmark, prototype, and test products to drive continuous improvement. Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Partner with Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost. Support production by assisting with fabrication, installation, and product validation. Collaborate with Technical Publications and Marketing to develop customer-facing technical documentation. Work closely with Customer Service and Technical Support to resolve technical product issues. Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field. Strong knowledge of mechanical system design, steel weldments, and commercial equipment. Experience with CAD software and mechanical product development. Working knowledge of prototyping methods and engineering analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications AutoCAD experience. Creative problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
