Onsite/Remote:
Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As an Engineer, Engine and Cooling for John Deere's Construction & Forestry (C&F) division in Dubuque, IA you will:- Develop vehicle fuel, air intake, and other engine auxiliary systems for new products
- Develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation to support product development
- Determine cooling requirements and work with suppliers to develop optimized cooling system designs
- Partner with John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) to define engine bill of materials (BOMs) and develop calibrations that meet vehicle requirements
- Support prototype builds, testing activities, and production launches by diagnosing and resolving engine and cooling issues
- Support Integrated Systems Development Process (ISDP) projects aligned to future product portfolio needs
- Contribute to product design guidelines, design books, and engineering analysis procedures
- Collaborate with test engineering, manufacturing, supply management, quality, and product teams to deliver optimized solutions Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. ## What Skills You Need
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical data, evaluate alternatives, and make data-driven decisions to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within cross-functional and diverse teams.
- Ability to investigate issues, determine root cause, and support corrective actions
- Experience with 3D modeling tools, such as Creo and SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated experience managing several projects simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and internationally, up to 10% ## What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with diesel engine systems for off-road equipment in construction, forestry, or agricultural industries
- Experience with engineering workflow tools such as PDMLink or SAP
- Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and contract engineering firms
- Experience with analytics software such as KULI, MATLAB, or nCode
- Experience working with telematics data
- Working knowledge of John Deere product development processes.
- Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry, or Ag off-road equipment ## Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
