POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a hands-on engineer who loves seeing a product move from a CAD drawing to a physical reality? Blooming HR Solutions is seeking a dynamic Product Engineer for a premier manufacturing client in Naperville, IL. This is a Permanent, Direct Hire role designed for a "maker" at heart—someone who possesses strong mechanical aptitude and the project management skills to drive innovation. You will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from prototype evaluation to final validation, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality and performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Development, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or manufacturing environments Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to evaluate prototypes, components, and finished products Experience managing products through a structured stage-gate development process Ability to coordinate and manage product testing, validation, and evaluation activities Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers preferred Strong understanding of product development lifecycle management Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Technical Skills Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD Experience creating engineering drawings and technical documentation Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and product testing methods Strong Microsoft Office and project tracking skills ERP or PLM system experience is a plus Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Hands-on problem-solving approach Ability to manage testing, evaluation, and validation of products Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong project management and follow-through capabilities Ability to work independently and drive projects from concept through launch Results-oriented mindset with focus on quality and continuous improvement
