This position is offering a pay rate of $80,000/yr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. The primary purpose of the Development Engineer is to develop and implement new product manufacturing processes and production tooling. Key Responsibilities Develops, evaluates, and implements manufacturing methods and process planning. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. Designs, develops and test and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods. Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams. Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel. Additional Responsibilities Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant. Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area. Follow all quality systems and Client's operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. Follow all Client's rules and regulations, including safety rules. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management. Key Performance Measures Project Completion and Accuracy EBITA & Cost Savings OTIF & Customer Satisfaction Ratings Safety Engagement Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field preferred. Three plus years in NPDI engineering, preferably sheet metal fabrication of high nickel based alloys for the aerospace market, or related field with proven skills.
