Their products support critical systems for customers across aerospace, heavy equipment, industrial manufacturing, and advanced technology industries. Job Description Lead engineering projects from concept, design, and prototype development through production launch Design and develop mechanical and fluid handling products to meet customer and operational requirements Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide project updates Evaluate product designs for compliance with engineering standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing capabilities Review and approve design changes, drawings, and engineering documentation Utilize CAD software to create, modify, and maintain engineering drawings and product documentation Coordinate prototype builds, testing activities, and product validation efforts Analyze test results and implement design modifications as necessary Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product designs, processes, and operational efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, manufacturing performance, and cost reduction Manage engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, ECNs, and controlled records Provide technical support for existing products, manufacturing processes, and customer applications MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline 3+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Experience with CAD design and engineering drawing creation Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product development principles Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams Experience driving projects from concept through implementation Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal manufacturing environments Background in fluid handling systems, hoses, pumps, valves, or related products Aerospace industry experience Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies Experience supporting highly engineered or custom products What's on Offer Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 Comprehensive benefits package PTO available upon hire Flexible start and end times Lean and Six Sigma training opportunities Career growth within a global engineering and manufacturing organization
