About the
    Role:
    As an Associate Product Development Engineer, Medical Devices, you will help define and execute the manufacturing processes that transform printed parts into finished, inspected products. Working under the direction of senior engineers, you will support production-line improvements by applying advanced manufacturing techniques, automation, and lean manufacturing methods. You will develop and maintain the processes, procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation required to produce components and subassemblies to customer specifications, with an emphasis on increasing throughput while maintaining high standards for quality.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support operations in moving products through the factory seamlessly and efficiently
    • Own end-to-end cycle time for an assigned group of medical-device parts, from additive manufacturing through post-processing and customer shipment
    • Participate in Kaizen events and provide the data and process analysis needed to identify and address bottlenecks
    • Partner with Quality to ensure appropriate inspection techniques are used and meet customer requirements in both development and production environments
    • Write and maintain work instructions and process-related quality documentation
    • Adapt existing processes for new products while maintaining proper configuration control of files, programs, and revisions
    • Review and disposition nonconforming material to help maintain efficient product flow
    • Troubleshoot process issues and solve problems with Operations across all steps from printing through final delivery
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving manufacturing processes, automation, throughput, and quality
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
    • 0-3 years of manufacturing, process, or product engineering experience; internship and co-op experience is considered
    • Working knowledge of metal manufacturing processes, including both additive and subtractive methods
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams
    • Ability to manage documentation and maintain configuration-controlled records
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficiency with advanced 3D CAD software, such as Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks
    • Exposure to a regulated manufacturing environment, including FDA 21 CFR or equivalent requirements
    • Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, process improvement, or production troubleshooting
    • Experience with medical-device manufacturing or other highly regulated products
    • Familiarity with inspection methods, nonconformance disposition, and quality documentation
    Compensation:
    • \$68,000
    • $94,000/year
    • Actual compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and other applicable considerations.
