The role focuses on hands-on support of product development, prototype assembly, equipment troubleshooting, testing, and engineering maintenance. Development Engineering Technician III Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot engineering and test equipment. Assemble electro-mechanical prototype equipment, including wiring and fluidic/pneumatic routing according to engineering documentation. Perform light-to-heavy equipment assembly following engineering drawings and procedures. Support planned and unplanned maintenance and repair of engineering equipment. Assist with calibration and preventive maintenance activities. Install and qualify new equipment under engineering guidance. Execute verification testing according to engineering test plans. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for development engineering projects. Assist engineers in improving build procedures, test methods, and documentation. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Use and maintain machine shop equipment and basic fabrication tools. Required Skills Strong electro-mechanical assembly experience. Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and fluidic systems. Familiarity with test equipment and engineering laboratories. Knowledge of machine shop tools and fabrication techniques. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills. Ability to work independently on moderate-complexity tasks while collaborating with engineers. Typical Resume Description Supported product development activities by assembling and testing electro-mechanical prototypes, troubleshooting engineering equipment, conducting verification testing, maintaining laboratory systems, and assisting engineers with process improvements. Performed equipment installation, preventive maintenance, technical documentation, and prototype builds while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards
