$90,000 - $110,000/yr. We do not provide sponsorships to work in the United States. Hydrasearch is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Stevensville, MD. In this role, you will serve as a key technical contributor responsible for accelerating execution of engineering development initiatives supporting Hydrasearch's aerospace and defense programs. This role will focus on solving complex technical problems, driving rapid development efforts, and enabling new technical capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on technical problem solving, development coordination, and rapid solution implementation. The Senior Project Engineer will work within a small, highly capable technical team executing rapid development cycles including design, prototype, validation, and transition to production. What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Experience:
4-8 years of engineering experience.
Environment:
Experience working in manufacturing or product-based environments.
Technical Depth:
Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle.
Problem Solving:
Demonstrated capability in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Execution:
Experience bringing technical projects from concept through implementation.

Strong ownership mentality and personal accountability for results.
Agility:
Ability to move quickly without waiting for perfect information and comfort operating with limited struct
Travel:
Travel may be required, both domestically and internationally.
Industry Expertise:

Experience working in small advanced development teams or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
Certifications:
CAPM or PMP certification

Minimum 2 years leading projects or major technical workstreams.

Experience with PPAP, qualification, and validation activities.
