Job Description

Northern Geo, LLC is seeking a skilled Engineer to support product development, applications engineering, testing, and manufacturing for geothermal heat pumps, HVAC/R systems, energy recovery equipment, and commercial pool dehumidification systems. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, sales, vendors, and field contractors to ensure products meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Research and evaluate market data, customer feedback, and design proposals to support product development
Design and develop geothermal heat pumps, HVAC/R systems, and related equipment
Perform system selection, sizing, performance calculations, and application support
Provide technical documentation, schematics, and guidance to sales and customers
Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and certification standards
Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with manufacturing on production feasibility, assembly methods, and process optimization
Conduct and document performance testing in laboratory environments
Assist internal teams and customers with technical inquiries and field performance issues Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Experience with HVAC/R, geothermal, dehumidification, or energy-related product development preferred
Knowledge of HVAC/R or geothermal systems and components
Understanding of manufacturing processes, testing methods, and product development lifecycles
CAD proficiency preferred; strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
