Job Description
- Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
- Develop a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser's equipment application.
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
- Advise Drafting/Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing - when required - in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser's requirements.
- Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and/or release equipment for shipping.
- Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).
- Consult with Quality in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
- Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature.
- Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
- Conduct technical training guidance and seminars, as required.
- Analyze needs and recommend revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with an expected graduation date before July 2027.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 (please don't round)

- Must be geographical flexibile to relocate within the United States to an Eaton facility including:
Asheville, NC, Fayetteville, NC, Sumter, SC, Greenwood, SC, or El Paso, TX Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing Internship/Co-Op experience
- Knowledge of power distribution products (LV and MV Switchgear, Panelboards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.)
- Experience with PLC or relay programming
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Project Management experience

- Ability to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturing
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering
