AMD Design, LLC, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Product Development Engineer to act as the counterpart Technical Engineer for all Platform Engineering within cross-functional teams. Design, develop, and/or support activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products (GPUs, CPUs, and/or SoCs). Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Review design prints and documentation to ensure compliance with design criteria, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities. Provide Schedule and implementation Readiness timelines. Provide new product introduction support by facilitating problem-solving meetings with Design, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Engineering. Establish Development review meetings to gain technical understanding and to assist with the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process. Establish Golden Sample (first builds/prototypes) Review meeting. Validate and approve rework instructions for production. Validate and approve assembly instructions (including labels) for production. Ensure quality products are manufactured per customer specifications are built and meet the schedule. Assist in the build activity and the testing of new components in large engineering samples in the Production/Scale-up setting. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Multiple openings. Qualified applicants click "APPLY NOW

Degree required Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, or related field.Qualifications:
Amount and type of experience required: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.Specific skills required:
The following skills are required: Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following: CAD tools; Product development cycles; Physical design (PD) process; CPU architecture; DFM Review; SMT; Engineering Change Order (ECO) Management; and PCBA Manufacturing.Preferred Skills:
