Full Job Description Description:
Provide technical and engineering support across all Divisions. Responsible for existing and new product designs for professional automotive service equipment, working closely with our product teams to improve existing products and expand our product offering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become knowledgeable of all product specifications and standards and contribute to the company's growth.
- Provide technical support for the company's new products and processes, including product specifications, product development, and product sourcing.
- Plan, lead, and track projects from initial concept to production launch.
- Create and revise product CAD models and drawings including working with outside technical support resources when needed.
- Perform first article inspections and maintain first article reference samples for new products.
- Perform problem-solving for customer, supplier, and internal production problems using fundamental tools and scientific methods.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Support customer service and sales with replies to technical inquiries.
- Support operations in improving production methods, tooling, and capital equipment.
- Assist in defining process and product quality standards.
- Maintain technical documentation and engineering files.
- Coordinate planned product and process improvements.
Education /
Experience:
4-year BS Engineering degree with 5-10 years of product, project, design, or manufacturing experience.
Requirements:
- Have background and engineering knowledge that can be applied to the design of fluid handling, fluid transfer, pneumatic, and hydraulics products.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes to produce our products.
- Fundamental problem-solving, analytical, and continuous improvement skills and experience.
- Demonstrated project leadership and project management experience.
- Be able to work with and communicate with our customers, suppliers, our strategic partners, and the internal teams to ensure that project objectives and timelines are met.
- Experience and proficiency with SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair equipment and requirements is a plus.
Full/Part Time:
Full-time, exempt salary.
Travel:
Occasional domestic and international as required.
Reports to:
VP Engineering and Manufacturing (Direct).
Matrix Report:
Product Team Lead (Indirect/Project).
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
