Full Job Description Company Description:
Tribotech Composites is a growing engineering and manufacturing company specializing in high-performance composite bushings, bearings, guide bands, and wear components used in industrial, hydraulic, marine, and heavy equipment applications. We are seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead our engineering, product development, testing, and applications efforts. This is not a corporate management position. We are looking for an engineer who loves solving difficult mechanical problems, working directly with customers, developing new products, building test equipment, and helping create the next generation of composite bearing technology. Key Responsibilities:
Application Engineering Design custom bushings and bearing solutions for demanding applications Analyze loads, wear, friction, PV limits, temperatures, and operating conditions Work directly with customers to solve technical challenges Support the sales team on complex applications Product Development & Innovation Lead development of new materials and product designs Research polymer composites, tribology, and bearing technologies Develop new product lines and expand existing offerings Evaluate competitive products and identify opportunities Testing & Validation Develop and execute product testing programs Design and build test fixtures and test equipment Analyze wear, friction, temperature, and performance data Establish engineering standards and testing procedures Manufacturing & Process Improvement Work closely with production personnel to improve manufacturing processes Support machining, fabrication, and production troubleshooting Develop new methods to improve quality, efficiency, and product performance Technical Leadership Become the technical expert within the company Establish engineering best practices and design standards Help shape the long-term technical direction of
Tribotech Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar technical field Strong mechanical aptitude and engineering fundamentals Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Strong communication skills and customer-facing confidence Hands-on mindset Preferred Experience with polymer materials or composites Experience with bearings, bushings, seals, or tribological products Experience designing and conducting product testing Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software Manufacturing or machining experience Why Join Tribotech?
