Product Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret customer needs and align designs with technical requirements and long-term product goals Stay informed on industry trends and applicable engineering standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, testing, product management, and suppliers Lead product development efforts from initial concept through release for production Guide technical decisions and provide mentorship within the engineering team Develop 3D designs and refine them for manufacturability and cost efficiency Perform engineering analyses, including mechanical simulations Create detailed drawings with GD&T and conduct tolerance analyses Develop technical documentation such as specifications, validation plans, and reports Coordinate prototype builds and support sample development Work with manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and production alignment Oversee validation and qualification testing to confirm performance requirements Conduct root cause investigations using methods such as inspections and teardown analysis Maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development engineering Experience managing products through the full development lifecycle Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) Experience with simulation tools (ANSYS preferred) Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, molding, plating, and assembly Experience applying design-for-manufacturing principles Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work in global environments Experience in connector or similar high-reliability component industries Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma certification Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) Knowledge of industry specifications such as MIL, SAE, or VITA #JDP By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
