Job Description
Lead System Engineer positions offered by Dana Automotive Systems Group, LLC (Novi, Michigan). Collaborate with external and internal customers to collect and analyze stakeholder requirements for Electric Vehicle (EV) drivetrain products. Create overall system requirements and decompose to domain and component level requirements for EV drivetrain product development. Lead EV drivetrain system architectural design and define the interfaces. Perform reuse analysis from platform-based development. Support Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity activities at system level for EV drivetrain product development. Support Dana system engineering process improvement to achieve ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) level 2. Attend meeting with customers to analyze their needs, define system requirements, and support software V&V teams in relation to the system diagnosis feature. Update and develop system architecture's diagrams in accordance with ODMS rules and ASpice 3.1 Sys 3 process' base practices. Support RFI/RFQ activities for the aspects related to system architecture. Analyze and fix issues related to system diagnosis feature. Track assigned activities using Jira.
- Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in vehicle electrification systems engineering.
- In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated.
- Must also have 3 years of experience in each of the following: o Requirements management in Polarion; o Supporting ASPICE assessment; o Supporting System DFMEA; and o Utilizing knowledge of ISO26262 and
ISO21434
in system engineering.- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
- Position reports to Novi, MI office.
