Ford Motor Company is developing and deploying the next-generation Digital Vehicle Engineering Platform as we continue to build a high-performing Digital Transformation organization that is a key contributor to drive Ford+ forward. Seeking a highly skilled PLM Technical Specialist with deep 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA expertise to design, implement, migrate, and support enterprise PLM capabilities in a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience with ENOVIA schema modeling and performance tuning, UI/widget development (HTML5/JavaScript/JSP/JPO), MQL/JPO-based extensions, data migration and validation, automated test frameworks for CAD/PLM integrations, license administration, and end‑to‑end production support. Production planning/execution on 3DEXPERIENCE, data model customization aligned to product specifications and vehicle requirements, 3DEXPERIENCE Web Services usage, and rigorous RCA-driven support are central to this role. Strong scheduling, release execution, production cutover, license compliance, and vendor enhancements management experience are required to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of engineering deliverables across global teams and suppliers.
Job Description:
The Specialist will focus on 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) Product Lifecycle Management solutions, empowering engineering and operations teams to efficiently manage and deliver product data and change at scale. In this role, the developer will leverage an Agile approach to conceptualize, build, test, and deploy 3DX/ENOVIA Code, Debug Kit, Pinpoint to manage Software Fix Releases customizations, widgets, and data pipelines grounded in current 3DX practices. The successful candidate will drive modernization from legacy applications into an object‑based 3DEXPERIENCE environment—ensuring solutions are reliable, performant, and user‑friendly—and will provide demos, training, and production cutover support. Bachelor of Science (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, or a related technical field. Minimum 10+ years in PLM solution development with hands ‑ on 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA, focused on data model customization, performance tuning, and enterprise configuration. Proficiency in MQL, JPOs, and 3DEXPERIENCE Web Services; experienced in designing and delivering custom widgets and role ‑ based interfaces (HTML5/JavaScript/JSP) that improve usability and productivity. The Engineer is expected to understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem. Demonstrated capability to build automated test scripts and frameworks for CAD/PLM integrations with emphasis on stability, performance, and regression coverage. Proven execution of data migration and transformation using MQL scripts, Data Load utilities, and custom loaders; strong practices for validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and auditability. Administration of user and role ‑ based licenses with usage analytics, compliance controls, and procurement/renewal coordination; ability to forecast demand and optimize cost. Level 2/3 support experience with SR/ER lifecycle management, deep root ‑ cause analysis, and knowledge ‑ base/runbook creation; effective vendor collaboration to closure. Agile execution with scheduling and forecasting, service order management, stakeholder communications, and cross ‑ functional alignment; multi ‑ site/global delivery experience. Domain exposure across automotive and aerospace; strong communication skills with a track record of demos, training, and user enablement.
