Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering specializing in Antenna, RF, or Electromagnetics. Experience with RF certification (3GPP/PTCRB/GCF) and carrier conformance testing. Experience developing Cellular/GPS RF solutions for wearable products. Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., ADS, HFSS) and circuit simulation. Strong board-level and firmware debug skills with scripting/automation experience. Excellent communication and documentation skills. About the job The Wearables team mission is to help deliver exciting and helpful Pixel wearable devices to users worldwide. These products bring Google services to users in new and intuitive ways, enabling next-gen computing and personalized AI assistant experiences with rich sensing and seamless access. To achieve this, our team develops industry-leading antenna/RF solutions that seamlessly integrate Google services into the wearable ecosystem. As a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer, you will be part of our wireless hardware design team building amazing Pixel wearable products. In this role, you will own the design, optimization and validation of RF solutions across different wireless communication technologies. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a talented cross-functional team to design and manufacture industrial leading wearable products that users truly enjoy. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities Design, optimize, and validate Cellular (3G/4G/5G), Satellite Communication (NB-NTN), and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) RF solutions for Pixel wearable products from architecture to mass production. Manage RF-related issues throughout the complete product development cycle and solve certification and compliance issues. Align cross-functional teams to harmonize hardware processes, delivering optimal solutions balanced across cost, quality, and schedule. Lead vendors and contract manufacturers in co-developing and validating RF solutions to meet performance goals and troubleshoot issues. Design for high-volume production and support factory test engineers from the prototype stage through to product launch.
