This includes RF components, antennas, radomes, support structures, composite/metallic component/structures, and full scale RCS/RF test fixtures. The candidate is to work design and fab of hardware in mostly a research and development environment with some production efforts. The candidate could be deployed to ADP or production programs, with mostly in a classified program, supporting a mix of flight and non-flight hardware. The mechanical engineer works closely with electrical engineers in RF designs as well as other disciplines (M&P, stress, EEE) to produce novel RF and RCS solutions for platforms. The successful candidate is a strong mechanical engineer who can drive challenging interdisciplinary problems from clean sheet design to fab, to test of hardware. Performing under tight schedules, the candidate needs to be a strong communicator and have strong project management skills. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related STEM degree Working knowledge of CATIA V5, 3DExperience, or similar CAD experience Experience with detail part / assembly design. Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) The candidate is not expected to be an expert, but should have knowledge in the fields of technical design and fabrication of metallic/composites materials. Experience with design/integration of air vehicle platform(s) or aerospace components Desired Skills Experience with mechanical design of Electromagnetic/RF components, electrical packaging, power system layout, and circuit board design General knowledge in fundamental EM theories Experience in design for additive manufacturing Experience managing various programmatics of projects (schedule, costs, procurement activity)
