Upon hiring the employee will operate as part of a small, fast-paced team whose algorithms are deployed to operations throughout the world and must maintain high standards for performance and reliability. Formal education in computer science, mathematics, physics and signal processing is highly preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The well qualified candidate will have implemented several and have some expertise in three or more of the following categories: Signal Processing Algorithm Development Signal Processing Algorithm Design Data Analytics Statistics Probability Embedded Systems Computer Engineering Software Defined Radio Estimation Theories Digital Communications Software Development Modelling and Simulation Physics Radar RF Sensor Design Under general supervision, participates in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks. Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems. Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams and charts. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Job Qualifications Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables. Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work extended hours as required. An EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate is desirable.
