55092BR Program Manager General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Poway California Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. The Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRC) Group at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), has an exciting opportunity, in Poway California, for a Program Manager to oversee Capabilities and Sustainment segments of a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contract. These segments cover CLS Engineering Sustainment, Flight Operations testing coordination and customer test asset management. This position reports to a Senior Program Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and maintain the CLS Engineering Task Ordering process and tracking which includes updating estimating tools, template formatting, submitting task packages to customer for approval, and archiving all documents and approvals. CONUS Flight Test Operations and training oversight at Gray Butte, Desert Horizons, and China Lake. Primary interface for scheduling CONUS Avenger Aircraft assets used for test and training operations. Supervise and lead a team of Project Managers to support project tasking which includes cost, schedule, technical performance, materials procurement, tracking, and delivery. Manage sustainment budgets by working closely with Field Operations, Engineering Field Services and Project Engineering to support all CONUS and OCONUS operations. Ultimately responsible for managing cost, schedule, technical performance, and providing status updates to include monthly reporting to internal and external customers. Strong aviation background with experience managing aircraft in development, integration and testing environments. Identify program issues and provide leadership with solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying contract specifications and or scope to resolve issues. Travel up to 25% is required to support customer meetings which will occur in the US. Other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Demonstrates technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones. Must be able to develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements. Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives. Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required.
