As an Engineering Aide for RF Payloads, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, test and manufacture of spacecrafts and ground support hardware. You will work under the direction of the Chief Engineer and senior technical contributors to perform a variety of technical-assistance tasks and team coordination. The following are examples of duties that may be included: Reviewing technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies, perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation material and handle peer reviews. Generating engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schedules and progress briefings. Performing detailed calculations using established formulas and preliminary analysis of data where guidelines are provided Supporting established business rhythm to discuss technical, schedule and operations issues
Basic Qualifications:
Associates Degree in a STEM related field, and or technical training or related experience. Coursework completed towards a degree may be considered. Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, error/consistency check and present technical material and problem solve Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments and exhibit self-initiative Desire to continuously learn, ambition to proactively address problems and work in a diverse team environment U.S. Citizenship, with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: Excellent communication skills Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely to Chief Engineers, Product managers and customers Proficient in MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word Familiar with Technical Data Package development process, and Engineering Change Packages Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management Performing design assessments and developing data driven solutions Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills Strong skills in use of Python, C/C++, IDL, CREO, and/or Matlab Active or current TS/SCI security clearance w/ poly

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $44,400 - $78,200. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
