About the Role As an Audio Systems Engineer specializing in RF communications, you will drive the development of high-fidelity acoustic performance for mission-critical radio equipment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how emergency responders communicate by optimizing microphone, speaker, and enclosure designs to ensure clarity in the most challenging environments. Responsibilities Translate complex market requirements into high-performance audio design solutions for portable and mobile radio platforms. Architect and refine advanced audio testing protocols to validate system performance and reliability. Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware engineering teams to integrate circuit requirements with optimal acoustic design. Lead the maturation of audio subsystems, including noise reduction algorithms and accessory integration, throughout the product lifecycle. Manage end-to-end development projects, ensuring that audio solutions meet rigorous industry standards for clarity and durability. Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement in acoustic hardware and system-level design. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. 2-5 years of experience in electrical design with a focus on audio or acoustic systems. 3+ years of dedicated experience in Research and Development environments. Proficiency in applying advanced engineering concepts to materials, components, and design software. Preferred Skills Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex acoustic challenges. Excellent technical communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and project reporting.
