Job Description Day to
Day:
This engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing antennas used in wireless communication systems, ensuring reliable signal transmission and reception across various frequency bands. Day-to-day work includes applying RF and electromagnetic theory to develop antenna solutions, analyzing wavelength and transmission line behavior, and testing antenna performance in real-world environments. The engineer will support the integration of antenna systems into broader communication platforms, including vehicle-based applications, and collaborate with hardware and networking teams to ensure strong, consistent signal performance.
Compensation:
$35/hr to $40/hr Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements Must Have:
  • Strong background in electrical engineering with RF focus
  • Hands-on experience designing antennas (not just integrating or using them)
  • Deep understanding of transmission lines and signal behavior
  • Knowledge of wavelength, frequency, impedance matching, and RF propagation
  • Experience working with radio frequency (RF) systems and communication hardware
  • Ability to design antennas for receiving and transmitting signals across frequency bands
Plusses:
  • Background in automotive radio systems or vehicle-based RF environments
  • Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or mesh communication systems
  • Familiarity with RF testing and tuning (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Experience with simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, etc.)
  • Exposure to defense or secure communications environments
