Job Description

We are looking for an RF Design Engineer to develop and refine wireless hardware solutions that support anti-theft and tagging technologies used in retail and industrial settings in Thorofare, New Jersey. This position covers the full product lifecycle, from RF architecture and simulation through PCB implementation, prototyping, laboratory verification, and regulatory approval. The role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver reliable, production-ready radio designs with strong real-world performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop RF front-end designs for Sub-GHz and 2.4 GHz wireless systems, including architecture definition, performance targets, and detailed design specifications.
  • Build and analyze link budgets, matching approaches, power profiles, and functional block diagrams to support robust radio performance.
  • Select and integrate critical RF components such as amplifiers, filters, switches, mixers, couplers, and shielding solutions based on product needs.
  • Lead antenna assessment and integration for embedded and external options, while optimizing tuning and overall system efficiency.
  • Own RF-focused multilayer PCB design work, including impedance control, grounding strategy, isolation methods, and layout constraints for high-performance wireless products.
  • Use RF and electromagnetic simulation tools to evaluate signal behavior, stability, parasitic effects, antenna performance, and coexistence between multiple radios.
  • Perform laboratory bring-up and validation using standard RF test equipment, capturing measurements for return loss, transmission, output power, sensitivity, and interference behavior.
  • Coordinate compliance testing activities for applicable regulatory standards, document results, and work with external labs to address issues identified during certification.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to support calibration processes, production test development, yield improvement efforts, and failure analysis.
