  • Salary:
    $95,000-$115,000/yr DOE
  • Responsibilities
  • + Investigates and conducts studies on specifications and requirements of the project.
+ Performs original RF and Digital circuit design and analysis. + Supplies technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff assigned to the project. + Provides directions to the Engineering Technician and Associate Engineer while breadboarding, wiring, debugging and testing are being performed. + Designs and plans, wiring layouts and schematics. + Plans tests to be conducted and arranges the test setup. + Checks performance of devices during tests and evaluates the results. + Provides technical assistance in the preparation of spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment and other engineering data. + Specifies the procurement of specialized components and test equipment. + Assists in the preparation of bids and proposals. + Uses PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.
  • Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior experience or master's degree and a minimum of 2 years prior experience.
+ 3+ years of RF Microwave and/or Digital Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required. + Must be familiar: + Modeling and Simulating + Optimizing new conceptual circuits along with evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits. + Amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die + Microprocessor programming languages: C, C++ Real time operating systems (RTOS) + Knowledge of hardware development as it pertains to embedded software + Microprocessors from Microchip (PIC) + Verilog or VHDL to describe digital circuits for FPGA design. + Xilinx FPGA and development tools + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents
