Job Description

Systems Engineer - Secure RF & Planning Tool Development CR Access Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced RF modeling and visualization tools for tactical and enterprise applications. This role blends project leadership, system architecture , and hands-on development to deliver innovative solutions that model interference among 5G networks, government emitters, and consumer end-user devices.

Job Location:
Hybrid/Remote (with periodic travel to lab/test ranges and program sites) Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of network planning tools to visualize interference between 5G networks, government emitters, and consumer end-user devices
  • Architect, design, and implement visualization device applications using Unity
  • Lead engineering teams through design reviews, testing, and delivery; collaborate with government, industry, and other stakeholders.
  • Produce technical documentation (specifications, ICDs, CONOPS) and support certifications/accreditations (e.g., Common Criteria, Type‑1 pathways).
  • Develop and implement test procedures for RF components and systems
  • Conduct signal analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform simulations and modeling of RF systems
  • Research and develop new RF technologies and applications
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members
  • Conduct field tests and measurements to validate system performance Qualified Experience
  • Familiarity with wireless communication standards like LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
  • Strong understanding of antenna design and theory
  • Proficiency in using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other RF test equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in C#, Unity development, and Python; experience building automated analysis and microservice pipelines (Docker/Kubernetes) for RF/security tooling.
  • Hands-on experience in project management for complex technical systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (active Top Secret and SCI eligible preferred). Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GIS or network visualization tools for 5G planning and interference modeling.
  • Familiarity with 5G-enabled UAVs and emerging 5G use cases in tactical or enterprise contexts.
  • Advanced modeling or simulation experience for RF coexistence with defense radar and other critical systems. Education
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with comparable experience
  • Advanced degree (M.
S./Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline preferred.
