Job Description
A leading global trading firm and market maker is building custom, high‑performance hardware systems that sit directly in the critical path of its infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to work in an environment where hardware performance directly impacts business outcomes, and where engineers have true ownership from concept through deployment. You'll design and build bespoke RF systems, solving challenging, real‑world problems at the intersection of hardware, systems, and infrastructure-not maintaining legacy designs or working on commoditized products. What you'll do Design, build, and bring up custom RF hardware and PCBAs Develop HF transmit and receive front ends (LNAs, filters, matching networks, amplifiers) Characterize and debug RF systems end‑to‑end in real‑world environments Create and execute test plans and system‑level validation Partner with software, infrastructure, and network teams to deploy systems at scale Own designs from initial concept through production Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements What makes this role unique End‑to‑end ownership: idea → hardware → production High impact: performance matters at a business level Non‑repetitive work: nearly every system is custom‑built Lean, high‑caliber team: strong engineering culture and high talent density What we're looking for BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MS/PhD preferred) 3+ years of hands‑on RF design experience Experience with RF front‑end design (LNAs, filters, matching networks, amplifiers) Strong understanding of: Gain, noise figure, linearity, stability, isolation Familiarity with EMI/EMC debugging and compliance Experience with PCBA design and system integration Comfortable using RF lab equipment and basic Python for testing/automation Nice to have Microwave RF or antenna experience RF simulation tools (ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST) FPGA or microcontroller exposure Experience working with vendors or manufacturing partners
