  • Device Characterization Lab.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and gain expertise in a wide range of test and measurement equipment and to develop new technical skills in an exciting development environment. In this role you will be responsible for: Technical functions in support of engineering activities such as on-wafer RF/DC/Pulse characterization of components during process development, SPICE modeling and new measurement development. Supporting Load-pull and RF noise figure on-wafer characterization up to 70GHz. Applications may include analog, RF, high-speed digital technology components, ESD (TLP) characterization and wafer testing under mechanical stress. Work with test chip layouts, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect technology data or assist in research work. Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Supporting equipment readiness, calibration, lab safety and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements: High School diploma/GED Minimum of 5 years experience of characterization of RF components (such as CMOS, bipolar, passive devices (resistors, MIM Caps, varactors, transmission lines, inductors etc.)) for s-parameters Preferred qualifications: 5 years of wafer-level characterization experience Load-pull and RF noise parameters experience Fundamental knowledge of basic electronics, basic technical science, mechanics and mechatronics, and applied electrical Self-driven with ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working under various distractions and constraints Ability to learn and understand electro-mechanical systems Outstanding troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with bench and automated test equipment Experience with soldering
  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
