Job Description
- Maintain, and update, engineering databases (Aries, SQL-based). Ensure all production data, well tests, and completions data are accurate and up to date.
- Assist engineers with economic evaluations, quarterly reserve reporting processes, and reconciliations
- Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure data integrity across systems
- Generate reports, tables, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
- Retrieve and organize external data from a variety of industry platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams reconcile data discrepancies and ensure cross-functional data alignment
- Execute production surveillance tasks; tracking performance plots and identifying variances Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in math, science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong Experience with Aries software
- Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, and Whitson is a plus
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with industry data platforms (Enverus (Drillinginfo/PRISM) Ability to maintain accuracy when handling large, complex datasets and managing multiple, time-sensitive deadlines Preferred Skills
- Experience with database management, including writing queries and troubleshooting data issues
- Basic understanding of reservoir engineering concepts (e.g., EUR, decline curve analysis, petrophysics).
- Understanding of upstream oil & gas operations and terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical data effectively across different internal teams.
