Our Facilities Gas Services team supports Micron's advanced semiconductor manufacturing by designing, operating, and maintaining highly regulated gas and chemical systems. We work closely with manufacturing, EHS, and engineering partners to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance in a fast paced fab environment. This team plays a direct role in protecting people, tools, and production! This O&M Gas Systems Engineer role is a critical technical position supporting MAQ‑ and IFCC‑regulated gas systems. You will provide deep chemical and code‑based expertise to ensure safe operation, compliance with building and fire codes, and continuous system improvement. The role requires strong ownership, technical rigor, and the ability to develop clear procedures in a complex, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Support safe, reliable operation of MAQ‑ and IFCC‑regulated gas systems in compliance with building and fire codes
  • Provide technical expertise for gas cabinets, bulk gas systems, cryogenic systems, and air separation plants
  • Lead system solving, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation efforts
  • Review designs, support installations and commissioning, and ensure alignment to codes and standards
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate operating and maintenance procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting chemical or gas systems in an industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of building and fire codes related to gas and chemical systems
  • Chemical background with experience in hazardous or high‑purity systems
  • Proven ability to write and maintain detailed technical procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting gas systems, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Experience with MAQ‑ and IFCC‑regulated environments
  • Hands‑on experience with gas cabinets, bulk gas delivery, cryogenic systems, or air separation plants
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex system‑level problems and support multi-functional teams
