  • Production environment 5+ years experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Well (BRAND NEW) to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry.
This role involves overseeing the planning, design, and execution of well operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in project management, system design, and technical engineering disciplines to support the successful development of new well projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions while working on complex projects that require precision, technical knowledge, and strategic oversight. Duties Lead the planning and scheduling of well projects, including horizontal drilling and other advanced extraction techniques. Develop detailed system designs incorporating civil, mechanical, chemical, and process engineering principles. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for site analysis, mapping, and geotechnical assessments. Ensure all project activities adhere to ASME codes & standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and reports to support project proposals, progress updates, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and control specialists. Oversee the drafting process using CAD software to produce precise engineering drawings and schematics. Monitor project schedules closely to ensure timely completion within budget constraints. Apply controlling experience to manage risks, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational efficiency. Support system design modifications based on field data and evolving project requirements. Collaborate with process engineers to develop innovative solutions for complex oil & gas extraction challenges. Conduct technical reviews of project plans in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Facilitate communication between stakeholders through clear technical writing and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred. Proven experience in project scheduling within the oil rig or oil & gas sectors. Strong knowledge of system design principles across multiple engineering disciplines including industrial engineering and process engineering. Familiarity with GIS applications for geotechnical engineering assessments. Proficiency in CAD software for drafting detailed engineering drawings. In-depth understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components. Experience with horizontal drilling techniques and offshore well operations is highly desirable. Demonstrated controlling experience in managing large-scale projects from inception through completion. Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports, specifications, and regulatory documentation. Ability to work effectively across diverse teams including geotechnical engineers, control specialists, and project managers.
