Eng Degree w (1) Turbine, (2) Failure Anal or Root cause experience 2+ yrs. Must have BS degree in Engineering (A degree in Technology is not acceptable)

Hard Requirements:

(REQUIRED)

• At least 2 years' experience in gas turbine engineer support o Know what they are, how they function
• Lifecycle engineering skills: root cause analysis , technical writing, OR failure investigations o Tech manual writing, how to look for information
• Need to be able to learn a lot very quickly to be successful in this role Preferred Skills/Experience (_ NOT required)_
• Controls experience is very helpful, but material/mechanics side is more important
• Understanding of data analysis
• look at recorded data and infer operations within that data set

Key Accountabilities:

Eng Degree w (1) Turbine, (2) Failure Anal or Root cause experience 2+ yrs.

• Analyze potential safety issues (SAR & RT)
• Provide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arisings
• Investigate operational issues to establish root cause
• Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions
• Set reliability targets based on historical data and monitor performance against targets.
• Predict future safety and reliability performance based on failure rates, adopting statistical techniques to support Numerial Risk Assessment, Parametric Distribution and fly forward analysis.
• Provide lifecycle technical data (build/in-service/decommissioning) and model/support
• Prepare and deliver technical communications
• Ensure technical solutions meet agreed requirements
