  • As a Sr Advanced Gas Turbine Performance Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace
  • , you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries, especially in aerospace.
You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate. In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring the design and architectural aspects of complex aerospace systems align with Honeywell's quality standards and industry best practices, contributing to the advancement of aerospace technology and solutions. _You will report directly to our leadership team and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule._ + Serve as Performance lead for APU programs + Provide test coverage & data reduction to support APU development and qualification + Prepare detailed test plans, including instrumentation, data acquisition and test schedules + ISC support, including test cell support + Requirements analysis & requirements decomposition + Systems design, gas turbine engine concept modeling, cycle definition and analysis, mission analysis + Project oversight, project coordination and budget/schedule responsibility + Proposal support and customer interaction + Support customers with fielded engine systems + Mentor less-experienced engineers + Travel domestically and internationally: 10% Relocation support, if necessary, can be provided. _At Honeywell, our people leaders play a critical role in developing and supporting our employees to help them perform at their best and drive change across the company.   • YOU MUST HAVE
  • + Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar Engineering disciplines + 5 years of experience with turbine engine Performance Modeling and Analysis
  • WE VALUE
  • + Strong understanding of thermodynamics and gas turbine performance modeling abilities + Experience using NPSS industry software is preferred + Expertise with turbomachine concept modeling, development, and trade studies + Knowledge of mission analysis of gas turbine engines + Experience in MBSE environments and connecting steady state models to MBSE tools such as Cameo + Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts + Diverse and global teaming and collaboration Due to compliance with U.
S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
