Major Accountabilities:

_

• The internship program inspires tomorrow's innovators by developing highly motivated Chemical Engineering majors who are ready for challenging projects in the following areas:

• Process Engineering:

• Works with field operators, console operators & unit managers to provide optimization, troubleshooting advice & generalized technical guidance on operating units within refinery.

• Control Systems Engineering:

• Supports refineries through control & instrument activities. Supports hardware & software platforms. Troubleshoots when necessary.

• Environmental Engineering:

• Assists with compliance reports & emission tracking. Performs & reports daily emissions calculations. Reviews & incorporates regulatory updates.

• Process Safety Engineering:

• Supports development, implementation, review, audit, promotion and revision of Process Safety and Risk Management Program.

• Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in Chemical Engineering, required.
• Overall GPA of 3.2 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale, preferred.
• Graduation dates of August 2027 through May 2029, required.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, required.
• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.

The rate for this position is $34.50 to $41.50 per hour and represents Valero's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting.
