Part-Time VEX V5 Robotics Instructor Magikid Robotics Lab Fremont - 5.0 Fremont, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $30 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Experience working with high schoolers Experience working with middle schoolers Working with students Electrical Engineering Full Job Description About the Role We are seeking enthusiastic college/university students, recent graduates, graduate students, and experienced robotics mentors to teach and coach VEX V5 Robotics. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about STEM education and enjoy inspiring the next generation of engineers. Responsibilities Teach VEX V5 robotics classes to middle and high school students. Coach students in robot design, building, programming, testing, and troubleshooting. Prepare students for VEX V5 competitions, including strategy and Engineering Notebooks. Foster teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment. Qualifications College or university student (preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related STEM fields), recent graduate, or experienced robotics mentor. Experience with VEX V5 Robotics or other competitive robotics platforms (FIRST Robotics, FTC, FRC, etc.) is preferred. Proficient in C++ (VEXcode); Python experience is a plus. Experience with CAD software (Onshape preferred). Strong communication and teaching skills. Responsible, patient, and enthusiastic about working with students. Preferred Experience VEX Robotics competition experience (student, mentor, or coach). Engineering Notebook guidance. Autonomous programming, sensors, and drivetrain design. Experience mentoring robotics teams or STEM clubs. Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications. Training and curriculum support provided.
