Job Title:
Robot Programmer Job Description In this role, you will support integration and commissioning efforts for a high-volume automotive manufacturer in northern Indiana. This position requires strong hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics, body applications, and special means build. The successful candidate will play a critical role in programming, touch-ups, commissioning support, and quality collaboration during pre-commissioning and launch phases. Responsibilities Develop, modify, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for body shop applications. Perform robot teaching, touch-ups, and recovery in active production and pre-commissioning environments. Configure robot frames, tools, payloads, and TCPs to meet process and quality requirements. Support rapid program adjustments during special means build. Support robot cell start-up, offline system work, and commissioning activities. Troubleshoot robot alarms, motion issues, and sequence ladder logic under tight timelines. Provide on-floor support during peak programming and commissioning periods. Collaborate closely with Quality teams to resolve process issues. Perform touch-ups and refinements to improve weld quality, part accuracy, and repeatability. Support containment actions and fast-turn engineering changes during builds. Coordinate with controls teams to validate I/O, interlocks, and basic handshaking. Follow all safety procedures during programming and floor support. Work safely in active manufacturing and commissioning environments. Essential Skills 2
  • 5 years of experience with robot programming.
Proficiency with Fanuc (e.g., SpotTool+ & V9.40 for the R30iB Plus robot controller). Willingness to work onsite in Warsaw, IN, 6 days/week. Experience with Body Shop, Fanuc DCS, Automotive, SAFE I/O Connect, User Model setup, CPC/CSC Zone setup. Fanuc Certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Fanuc DCS (e.g., SAFE I/O Connect, User Model setup, CPC/CSC Zone setup). Automotive body shop experience. Work Environment This project will occur onsite at a new facility in Warsaw, IN, and will run until November 2026. The work schedule includes two 12-hour shifts (6 AM
  • 6 PM, 6 PM
  • 6 AM) six days a week. You will work alongside several other robot programmers and report to a robot lead. Per diem will be provided to candidates outside of 60 miles, with $110 for lodging per day and $51 for meals per day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00
